Can't get Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer to work

I usually use Mozilla Firefox to get online but when I click on it nothing is happening, I tried to do the same with Internet Explorer and the same happens, I have a BT Home Hub 3 and it is connecting OK, I have had to use Realplayer to get on any websites, why is nothing happening when I click on the others and how do I fix it?
