Hello I just heard of a site that can tell you who is watching your profie and reading your wall on Facebook. I think if this is true it goes against the privacy that Facebook gives. Anyone know about it?

Urban myth - actually impossible.

If you click through to one of these "see who's watching you" "see who's dumped you" pages they will be after your email address and the ability to post on your facebook page - or (worse) they will attempt to download adware/spyware/viruses onto your PC.

Set your privacy settings higher. Only people on my friends list can see my wall. If I had a problem with that I wouldn't be friends with them.
Oh, I think these things are spam.

It's spam to encourage people to click on unrelated links.
having seen a programme on tv on monday i consider that i was right when i decided to keep well away from facebook...there are too many strange people on there ...also an expert on this programme spent a hour hacking into the presenters account and came up with a wealth of imformation.
Quite right mick but it's not just Facebook. I found lots of personal information from right here on AB about users in a matter of minutes:

SB.....that is frightening
But true. People feel the need to blast every trivial detail about themselves on to the internet nowadays. No wonder there is so much ID theft and fraud about.
There is a new application called unfriend finder that will tell you who has deleted you from their friends list, there is nothing that can tell you who has been looking at your profile though. I am the same as ummmm in that only my friends can see my wall.
This has amused me. The OP believes that his right to FaceBook privacy entitles him to snoop on others without their knowledge.
It's not quite true that only your friends can see your wall on Facebook.

I'm not signed up to Facebook but, believe me, it's quite easy, once you know someone's name, to view what they have on Facebook. I don't think anyone's privacy setting are 100% watertight, I don't think that's possible, so there's always a way.

I guess the answer is, if you don't want people to read it don't post it online.
It's one of the reasons I'm not on Facebook. Too many opportunities for spammers and generally mischievous people. My friends and I have our own sort of 'facebook' conversing on a regular basis and we know exactly who we are talking to and hearing from.
If you want to use FB safely creately aliases and invite your family to use aliases too.
False names, false dob.
SB.... how do you know people on here or anywhere else tell the truth though? I or anyone else could be bullcrapping every post we make on here......

twenty how can you see anything on anyones wall if you arent signed up? .... no one only friends can see my wall unless i post something 'public'
pixie - don't be so sure. I have accidentally viewed things on FB I shouldn't have. Purely accidental.
Then they haven't got their privacy settings set at high.
Don't you believe it, ummm.

Do not post ANYTHING on FB or anywhere on the internet you don't want God and his dog to see, unless you go incognito.
What happens on facebook with all the "friends" they suggest you might know to add who are friends of friends which turn into 100's of names they ask if you want to add? I've tried to delete them all but it's way too many, have tried to find out how to stop them being suggested but I can't. I have settings set to friends or family only but still their friends are suggested by facebook to add to mine!
daisy if you say no to a friend request you should get a box up asking if you know them outside fb...if you tick no they cant add you again.

the only way i can think of that happening hc is if say i comment on a friends status and their friends will see it..... if i view my profile as public the only things i can see is posts that i have made public....
