Can't get Back on our Hub

We went away for the weekend and took the new Ipad with us. I thought it would just be a matter of switching on as normal, but a selection of 3 things came up on screen to link to the hotel's wi-fi. This worked but now we're home we can't get back on our home hub! It asks for the password which is on the little plug which fits into the hub, but it's just locking us out. How to get back in? Please help. Please note I am not in the least savvy with technology so please keep any answers non-techno. Thank you.

What do you mean it's locking you out, is it just that you can't connect to your home network, it shouldn't have forgotten your password unless you told it to forget your home network. What are the error messages you're getting?
Are you sure you are using the right password? On mine (orange) it is 26 digits long and the letters are case sensitive.
