I go to a webpage which opens up ok...then.. eg:on this site,I want to go a post,I click, then it freezes..a message pops up at the bottom"the answerbank not responding" and a box "Recover webpage".which I duly click and it then takes me to where I want...but it is driving me MAD!!!!
Have checked out my computer and connection..it tells me ,no problems of any kind.
I use both IE and Google..happening on both...this freezing is also on other websites...especially my network provider,VirginMedia..site.
Seriously thinking iof changing my broadband to elsewhere...problem is ..who??
I am still getting it...very frustrating!!!It happens everytime ,on almost every website.a box comes up in the middle of screen from Internet Explorer saying"*****.com looking for a solution to the problem"
Do you think I need to defragment my PC or something like that?
Must add...my laptop is doing the same thing albeit not as much...so methinks it cannot be the PC but the internet connection.
What does anyone think?
When I was getting the same problem as you I rang my I P providers help line BT and they did a few tweaks from their end and fingers crossed everything as been ok since. So I would give the a ring if I were you.
They asked me if I could access the internet and what was happening when I did. If I were you I if you have one would get your ethernet cable ready as they may want you to connect by cable, also they may want to take control of your computer from their end.
Oh Lord, not very good at this...I have a little modem which Virgin installed(a small black box),this is attached to my router ,also from Virgin. Not sure if the Ethernet cable is in the PC..don`t think so as it is all running on "wireless" with our having more than one PC in the house..actually,we have three, one desktop and 2 laptops.
IE has had issues too and has been leading to slow up - I had the problem of some freezing but particularly the slowing up in typing - all gone now - I have kept IE9 butcould now dispose of it to make some more room.
