How to uninstall Iminent

While installing freefile viewer this morning I have unintentionally enabled Iminent, which now appears as my default search engine. It tells me that if I'm using Chrome (which I am) I'll need to uninstall Iminent; but I can't see how to do this (it doesn't appear to be in my list of programs). Could someone help, please?

Further to the above question... I found the programme in Control Panel (though not in the ordinary list) and followed the instructions to uninstall it. I then rebooted the computer. But when I try to open Google Chrome, 'search iminent.com' is still showing in the address bar. Should I be worried?

You will have to uninstall freefile viewer, it is full of adware (and possibly spyware) anyway.

I've just done that, Daffy, and neither program (freefile or iminent) now appears in Control Panel. But I'm still getting the same address bar and the iminent search page, though all my favourites are showing exactly as I have them for Google.
I'll run a full scan and malware scan - thanks for the warning. I installed it because I couldn't open a memory stick and this seemed to be the recommendation.

I had something similar- it was jumping to something like nusearch.com (I think it was after I'd downloaded Livid).
If you go into Chrome settings there is a facility to change the default search. You may find Iminent appears there so you should remove it from there

Iminent is listed in the possibles, Factor, Settings is clearly showing Google as the default browser. I cant see a way to delete Im from that list - even the trusty right-click doesn't help.

I managed to do it but it took a few attempts. I'll see if i can remember what I had to do. Is there another option, maybe in the advanced settings, which lists the pages that will open automatically in Chrome on start up.
