Password Page

I have just been watching Norton Security back up all my files when halfway through the screen returned to my log in password page. After typing in my password the security check continued. This is the first time this has ever happened in 3 years on owning a computer, Any ideas why this is happening and how can I prevent it from happening again. With thanks. I am operating Windows 7 Home

Right click the desktop, slect personlize, then screen saver and either turn off the screen saver totally, or untick the require password on resume option.
