Facebook Linked To Tripadvisor
Sorry if this has been asked before but I was a bit surprised just now, I was on facebook and opened tripadvisor in a new tab and a window appeared showing me which facebook friends are on tripadvisor.
Flippin useless with stuff like this, but if my facebook is set to private, and I've not asked it to share with tripadvisor, how did this happen?

Thanks Chris, just looked at your link, think I will follow that and change my settings. Not that I mind my friends seeing my tripadvisor input, it just worried me how easily information is exchanged between sites purely by default of the user not clicking certain boxes which they ie me are not aware of!
Thanks headwreck too for that.

Are you sure it wasn't just showing those who had marked on Facebook that they 'liked' Trip Adviser. I can't see any other way Facebook and Trip Adviser would know who was on the other's site. So as long as you don't 'like' Tripadviser on your FB page you won't appear on anyone's list. And even if you did they could only see what your FB privacy settings allow
