The Mailer Daemon is the software on a mail server which handles emails. You would usually see messages from it if, for example, an email you send could not be delivered immediately or couldn't be delivered at all because, for example, you mistyped something in the email address.

If you're seeing a lot of them, and they are not emails you have sent, your email address is being used as the from address for a load of spam emails, most of which will be undeliverable. They will probably stop in a couple of weeks when the spammers switch to another from address.
Yes - I get them when any email I've sent doesn't go through for some reason. Check what the emails say, but don't open any links in them. It's a Yahoo mail responder. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bounce_message
Good point huderon - if you seem to have a lot, check that your account hasn't been compromised- Mine was, a few weeks back, rubbish emails were sent out to everyone in my address book. Yahoo contacted me very quickly and told me to reset my password. No problems since.
The best advice I know of is to use several email addresses - one exclusively for family and close friends which you never put out on the net, one for signing up to things like Facebook, Twitter and the like, one for things like internet shopping or for offers from reputable companies that you might want to take up, one for internet banking (again never to be used for anything else and never put out on the net), and one for signing up to sites where you think they might send you emails you aren't really interested in, or for signing up to sites you might be curious about but think you won't use much - that last one becomes a spamcatcher address which you can check and clear out every few weeks.
I think your e/mail account has been infiltrated.

Don't hesitate in changing your password. Immediately I say.
