Emails Disappearing From My Sent Folder

I use Outlook.com for my emails but whenever I send an email it only stays in my sent folder for a matter of days. I have checked the box asking for them to be saved in the sent folder but still they disappear, never to be seen again! I have not been able to get any help from Outlook either from their help line or from the customer forums. Is anyone else having this problem? Help would be most appreciated as long as it is in simple, laymans terms!

Are you sure they're not being Auto-Archived? Have a look in your Archive Folders list and see if they're in there. (In case you don't know, it should be at the bottom of your Personal Folders list).
