When You Use Sky On Demand
does that count towards your internet usage?

This can be computers and laptops, tablets, smartphones, smart TVs, Sky on demand and other "catch up services".
But by far the biggest files you will download is any sort of video (movies, TV shows, YouTube, Netflix etc etc.)
You could spend HOURS downloading text (simple web sites) and it would be hardly any data.
But one minute of video could be as much data as an hour looking at simple text based web sites (this is just a rough example, I have not actually measured it).
