I know nothing about computers so I'd appreciate simple jargon free answers, if there are any.
I pressed the wrong button yesterday and 'Ask' seemed to come up as the search engine or home page?, which I don't like.
I've been mecking about all morning. Pressed to restore default and now it's got 'Bing'.
I just want to go back to google as my homepage. But I don't want 'google chrome'. I got that before accidentally and didn't like it.
Thank-you.

go to the page you want to make your home page. Somewhere, probably top right, is a little house icon. If you click on it there should be an option to "make this your home page"

Well done, frog. That was just what I wanted. I'd gone to that page several times, messing about, but I didn't know I had to type anything or click on tabs. Brilliant and thanks to everyone for their answers. ;o)
Glad I could help. :)

Morning Frognog, don't know if you're around this morning. Maybe someone else can help if you're not.
As above, followed advice and it worked a treat. However, on a couple of sites I've tried to 'log on to', I can't. (Gravatar & Disqus, as it happens, if it matters)
I wonder is it connected, something to do with cookies, perhaps.
A 'box' with username/password appears but when I click on it doesn't work.
Any brainwaves, anyone?(if you know what I'm on about)
