Email Stuck In Outbox
I can probably expect some disparaging remarks about using Yahoo mail but for the moment I would appreciate some help with a problem I am currently experiencing.
I wrote and sent an email a couple of days ago and this was received OK by the recipient. However I noticed that there was still a message showing in my Outbox. I clicked on this a couple of times but I was unable to read it. However I very soon got a message from the recipient that she had received the message multiple times.
I do not seem to be able to either delete the message or to prevent it from being sent every time I log in to Yahoo mail. My contact has now received the message 35 times and not surprisingly would like them to stop.
I would be obliged if someone could tell me how to do this.
Thanks in advance.

@murraymints & @waterboatman.......Thanks for placing faith in perhaps my having the right answer for Michael. I often get things wrong when I am trying to put matters right on my own Desktop Computer and Laptop.......But we aren't going to talk about that because it could confuse issues.
I am now wondering if I shall ever know how Michael has got on, because he has already given 'Thanks in Advance'. Often I have found that some TIA questioners refrain from giving any feedback.

Thank you all for your helpful comments.
I must apologise for the delay in posting this reply but I have been out of circulation for a while.
Hans: Thanks for your MWB suggestion. I use this on a regular basis but it had no effect this time. (Nice try though!)
Also I take your point about your "Thanks in advance" comment but it had never been my intention not to reply to all ABers who take the time and trouble to reply to my query.
Unfortunately, the Email is still apparently stuck in my Outbox and won't go away so I'm baffled.
The good news is that I only used my Yahoo email for a very limited number of recipients so I have been able to close it down without too much problem. Also I have other email accounts (including, as Buenchico will be pleased to hear, GMX), each with a dedicated purpose - so life continues.
The cause of my original problem remains a mystery though but I can only reiterate my thanks to all who offered their help.
