Websites Not Displaying Fully
12 Answers
Hi,all, hope someone can help
Recently I have found that some websites are not displaying fully,' continue boxes' on Airline sites, Ryanair and easyjet in particular and the' enter' box on'Chat now' boxes.
Could this be that I am using,W7, Google Chrome browser and they no longer support 'Java'
Would I be better accessing these sites through IE or can you suggest a better browser
Any guidance appreciated

You can have as many Browsers as you like and Firefox is certainly a good one, which would be my recommendation.

Thanks all for comments,f-f if I do this how do I return to original ?,,OG I'll try another browser, my pc is up to date on everything and i'm only using 20% of my pc's resources, no difference on reboot, HansU I have IE, Firefox and Chrome installed so will try alternate browser (this experience is worse on my 'netbook' than my desktop pc, just wondered why Chrome no longer supportd 'Java' is it a 'political' thing')
I think Java has always been unsafe and responsible for nasties getting into computers/laptops etc. Consequently, for security reasons, Chrome has decided Not to support it.
If you do use or encounter a website that requires Java, chances are you can find an alternative that doesn't.
Strange that both your PC and Netbook are encountering similar problems. Perhaps you have a very slow Broadband connection.
Test the speed of your broadband and post again please. :-

Your Broadband speeds are slow. I recall having read on the Internet that the 'Opera' browser has compression technology, (Opera turbo) specially designed for slow network connections. Might be worth a try.
My final thought is that Java may have brought along some Malware. So if you haven't already done a scan with the free edition of Malwarebytes, it might be worthwhile doing so. When you download and run Malwarebytes, make sure you reject any offers to accept a trial of the Premium edition and untick all boxes for any other offers. :-

@fiction-factory.....Whilst you are giving excellent advice about altering the size of page format, I Do Not think that the problem is one of page/print size. Admittedly, I could be wrong because I am concentrating on loss of data on a viewed page.
Hopefully, Puzzled001 will post again to clarify matters for the both of us.

Hi,again, I have not revisited either airline's site but using Ctrl- on other sites does not seem to make any difference to the 'bottom line content' although I will try it next time I need to book a flight, which will be next week.
As to Malwarebytes I usually scan twice a week ,I'll run another now in case something has slipped through. Thank you all for your continued assistance
