02035140533 Screen Message
Sorry to bother you, hope someone can help. Since stupidly downloading Audiocity, When I try to access the Internet, I get an on screen & audio message telling me to phone this number to fix my computer that blocks Microsoft Edge (recent Windows 10 upgrade). Is there any way to fix this ? Windows Defender fill scan takes hours to run & doesn't find anything. I can't download any other scan program as this blocks my access. If I did system restore would this work & how would that deal with the Windows 10 upgrade ?
Thanking you for your time & for any help gratefully received

Sounds like some "ransomware" has been installed that holds you to ransom till you pay them some money.
Whatever software you downloaded (Auidiocity or whatever it was) may have also download some malware that has locked up your computer.
It is VERY important to only download software from "official" sites and not just the first site that turns up when you do a search.

I did a search on the phone number and many others are getting this problem, so you are not alone, see here:

You could try starting Edge via the following method:
- Right-click (as opposed to normal left-click) the 'Windows Start button'
- Select 'Run'
- In the Run Window type the text
"start microsoft-edge:http://www.google.com"
(ensure it is typed exactly as shown)
- Click 'Ok'
If it works Ok it should startup Edge and go directly to the Google website.
Another option is that as you have upgraded to Windows 10, your previous Windows Internet explorer version (11?) is most likely still installed and available for use. If so, do the following to attempt to start it up:-
- Right-click (as opposed to normal left-click> 'Windows Start button'
- Select 'Run'
- In the Run window type the text "iexplore"
- Click 'Ok'
If either browser starts up successfully you should be able to then access websites to enable download of other scan software such as:-
