Leavingtalktalk
I have subscribed to TalkTalk, which was previously Tiscali and before that Homechoice, for many years.
I am ready to give them up as I have broadband and phone services elsewhere.
However I wish to continue to use my TalkTalk and Tiscali email addresses as it would be very inconvenient to change them.
Do any members of AB know if I can do this and also will I be able to use the TalkTalk webmail once I cease membership?
I would appreciate any help or suggestions regarding this.

When you cancel TalkTalk (www.talktalk.co.uk) broadband, you'll still be able to send and receive mail from your email address for up to 12 months. However, you won't be able to access My Account, so you won't be able to actually manage the email addresses associated to it - including things such as changing passwords. And if there's no action on your email account for six months, TalkTalk will automatically delete that email address.
So, it's best to set up a new account from another service, and migrate things across from your TalkTalk email as soon as possible.

I'll just add that changing your email address isn't really as awkward as you might expect. Get yourself a new account here:
https:/ /www.gm x.co.uk /
Then use the 'mail collector' facility to get mail sent to your old address automatically forwarded to your new one. That will give you loads of time for your correspondents to learn your new address, with no fear of you not getting any mail which is still being sent to your old one.
