Pop Ups On Answerbank.

I am getting around 6 pop-up ads on AB where once I had none.

Is this something I have to accept or can I block them ?

Wondering that too - I often get six about 75th Edinburgh International Festival covering almost the whole screen - such a pest!

Answerbank relies on adverts to generate income to keep this a free to view/join site.
There is a programme that prevents adverts showing on your computer.
If Jura, or anyone, was to post that information, what do you think AB powers will do?

I will answer but it will get removed quickly. There are a couple of advert blockers that I use on AB that keep it ad and pop-up free but this evening they are not working. I'm getting pop ups everywhere too all of a sudden. A page refresh makes them go away but they come right back.

Captain2, there's adverts, and there's very annoying adverts. It's putting some of off being on the site.

I agree The Winner, that and the flood of plainly obvious fake posters and their problems we aren't allowed to moan about and the odd shopping bot it's making the site farcical at times.

TheWinner, it's been happening a lot more since the site was restructured; we've lost a lot of regular members, especially in crosswords, who couldn't get the hang of the new layout, etc.

It's sad but we can't give the name of the programme, it'll just get zapped. Would you bite the hand that feeds you?

Alternatively, ahem, do a little bit of research, after all your clever enough in Xwords and Quizzes. ;))

Captain2, I just wanted to say that I don't mind adverts, but find these a bit over the top. I don't want to comment further thanks.
