DJ-X3 scanner

I every one, I live in nottingham, and just got hold of a Alinco DJ-X3 scanner, now I can get some radio stations on it but I can not seam to be able to pick up aircraft or any thing like that, can any body help, and what is so good about this 8.33MHZ I just do not under stand it, all help well come (ok call me stupped) lol.

You won't receive any transmissions unless you've programmed the scanner to check the relevant frequencies. For East Midlands Airport try 119.650 (AM, Simplex) for the approach frequency, 121.900 (AM, Simplex) for the ground frequency, 124.000 (AM, Simplex) for the tower and 128.225 (AM) for the Aerodrome Terminal Information Service.

Thank you Chris, the booklet that came with it is not that easy to follow, I have booked marked the sites you sent so i will have a look at them to see if I can program it thank you once again for your help.

Just a quick note, I have been on www.scannersfregs.co.uk/ and found two TROJAN: one was VBS/psyme the other is exploit-wmf. there may be more I will not use that site again.
