music downloads

Does anyone know of a good FREE music download site? I'm a bit unsure of how to go about this, I want to put together a CD of loads of different songs from different genres. Thanks.

For good results and the least chance of getting caught by the authorities use Shareaza..excellent stuff, I have tried limewire, Kazza and Morpheus but Shareaza is currently the best.

As for the authorities, dont worry unless you have thousands tucked away in the downloaded root folder, you are unlikely to be hasstled...NOT THAT I RECOMMEND ILLEGALLY DOWNLOADING MUSIC...Mr EMI/SONY men..uhhmmm
