Going Wireless on Cable braodband

MY ISP is blueyonder and i receive my broadband service through a sufboard cable usb modem
The modem is a Motorola SB5100

I want another PC upstairs to access the internet and also play PSP via wireless connection

So far we have purchased 3 wireless routers and all were no good .
Does anyone know which router I need to use or how I
can go wireless with or without this USB modem ?

PLEASE HELP cable helpine useless cannot get through
