Does anyone out there use MS Publisher to create websites? I would like to include on a website a form which can be printed without having to print the whole web page. Perhaps it's not possible with Publisher, but does anyone know how to do this please?

A website with publisher? ARGH!!

You may be best creating the form in Word or something, then saving it as a pdf file which you can link to on your site for people to download then print off.

Thank you fo3nix - I hadn't thought of that and will give it a try. I suspect the ARGH!! might mean that you don't approve of Publisher for websites? I learnt to use it at evening classes and don't know any other, but one can always live and learn!
Not sure if all versions of Word can create a pdf for you (I think only later versions with some addition can do), so if you've created the form as a Word document you can use a program such as cutePDF to convert to pdf (free):

As for the website designing: no, I'm not a huge fan of publisher, especially for websites. It's just not made for it. There are lots of better programs out there that create websites (Microsoft's own Frontpage for one, though I don't like that either...), Dreamweaver (far more professional), or, my preference, just typing the code out manually (perhaps not best unless you particularly want to get into it though).

Many thanks again fo3nix. Dreamweaver sounds interesting - I've heard of it recommended before so will find time to have a look. I'll probably end up solving the immediate problem with a separate single web page, that can be linked to and from, and printed as a web page on its own.
You might also want to take a look at MS Expression Web, which is receiving good reviews and is similar to but cheaper than DreamWeaver.

You can get a free trial here:

(I can't believe I've just recommended an MS product! Aaaaggghh!)
