I am not certain whether this will work, but have seen it listed in various forums as a possible solution.
Go Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the Flash Player. Then reboot your computer and goto www.adobe.com and install the Flash Player again. Apparantly when the newer version is installed over an older version it sometimes does not install correctly, removing the old version first may fix the problem.
Before installing make sure all other browser windows are closed - having other browser windows open sometimes also causes problems with the install - it reports that it installed correctly but, in fact, it did not.
It may be worthwhile rebooting again after the installing the new version.
