TalkTalk broadband connection down again

My TalkTalk broadband connection has just gone down again, I've had no internet for the past 2 1/2 weeks. I think its a problem at the exchange like the other times it has gone off. Despite many phone calls my connection has not restored so I'm off to find another ISP (I'm typing this at work).
However it does make me wonder why TalkTalk disconnect their customers from the internet - or is it something more sinister like BT engineers doing it on purpose so that people will come back to BT....

I hope your not right as I've just signed up to talktalk, but still waiting for my broadband to go over to talktalk, still with pipex at the moment, I'll just have to wait and see

What was wrong with Pipex? Thought they were quite good (and had a reasonably priced package - according to a friend).
