Could someone on answerbank answer this question for me please,my friend lives in Spain and we were chatting on our webcams through MSN.Now he has Skype and he tells me that we can converse over the telephone and see each other on the webcam for free,I thought that if you used a BT phone line it would cost you money or am I wrong.

If you download and install Skype, you can chat over the internet at no cost at all. You can buy cheap 'phones that plug into your usb if you want to use a handset, but I prefer to use a headphone/mic combination.

You can also use webcam.

I don't have a landline at all. I make all my calls through skype.

You do pay to call a landline, free to call a skype id.

If you've both got microphones then you can make voice calls to each other on msn.
