Opening a US website here in Blighty.

My GF, surprisingly, loves shopping. She wants to use a mail forwarding service to shop on US online stores, but some sites won't open the US site, instead opening the UK site, much like Google seems to. She's trying to open www.Abercrombie.com, I guess it's something to do with our IP address, but how do we fool the site into thinking we're in the US?
