Does anyone out there know of a link to obtain FREE speed camera updates ?

There are loads that insist you must pay a subscription fee but to date I have been unable to locate any free sites.

How has IT affected language?

My question was stright forward and one for information only !!
I did not ask for anybody`s opinion on the pro`s or cons of this usefull utility within my gps unit especially when I am in a strange area where it is not always obvious wha t the local speed limit is ?

There are many drivers in the country now that have these units an no doubt utilize the speed camera database contained within them.

I have been a driver now for 20 years with a clean licence and 8 years no claims, how does this make me a speed merchant ?

Anyway I would suggest that if you do not have anything positive to add to this site then find another where you will find like minded individuals....

Regardless of your personal circumstances ZebUK, your input is not helpful. There are many other forums out there on the internet for you to debate all of this.

Janny, you can get speed camera updates for free, and for nearly-free.

Firstly there is this site http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name =Cameras&referer=SideBar and they provide databases of a number of countries and new releases are made available very frequently. One useful aspect (depending on how you look at it) is that users can inform them of new speed cameras they see and as long as they are verified then they will be added in reasonably good time. This costs �19 a year.

You can get these database for free off torrent sites, how have a hunt around there. the only thing is that they may not be that recent.
