Flash Games

I play flash games online & download the good ones by saving the web page with Firefox, then extract the .SWF game file and play off line - full screen - with irfanview or open with the Firefox browser ( macromedia flash). Recently Firefox won't open these files and some games I can't play anymore as irfanview doesn't allow keyboard game control. Can anyone help please? I've reinstalled the latest flash & the latest firefox but no good. Can you configure irfanview to accept normal keyboard entries when running a game? All other flash players I've tried disappear after install and irfanview prevails as default.
