My brother joined facebook and asked me to look at his profile, I set up a account too but I can not access his profile. He says he can see it without using his login so how come I can not see?
He also said that he put anyone can look, he can also view others profiles without them being friends.
What am i doing wrong?

you can only view the profiles of people who have accepted you as friends

Can people tell if you have looked at their profile?

You can view other peoples profile if they are in the same network as you.
For example if you and your brother are both in the london network you can view their profile without being friends.
This works for most people in your network unless they mark their profile as private
