My email automatically goes to outlook express to send an email. I don't use it ay more after having loads of problems, I use Gmail. Can I make it so that if I click on a link to an email address it will send from gmail?
I can go to internet options but in the programmes tab it doesn't give me the option to enter anything else other than outlook that is in there already.

No because gmail is not an application - it's web mail. i.e. you use your browser to go the site, log in, click some links etc.
Having said that, you can configure OE to use you Gmail account (but that's not quite the same thing as you are asking for).
See here on how to configure OE:

Sorry, Ethel, Typing while you were posting - and your answer's better than mine!
I use gmail's mail fetcher as well - it collects all my blueyonder emails, and I can send from blueyonder addresses through gmail.

Much easier to set up than Outlook or outlook express.

Thanks very much for your help, I'll read through those links. Might be easier just to start using outlook express again for certain things!
I use gmail for everything without problem.

Take your time - you will get it do what you want without too much problem.
