CCapp.exe - failure of , solutions sought

Recently i have been getting a message from my "Nvidia desk manager" that " CCapp.exe is failing to respnd"

I know that CCapp.exe is part of Norton Anti virus . When it fails it seems to
* stop any incoming emails after failure
*make shutting down a chore. All these windows appear asking me to manually shut down a lot of programs one at a time

Please can someone help me. i have googled but failed to get an answer specific to the email problem

Save your product key, then uninstall Norton. See here for instructions and the relevant software tool. (You can't uninstall Norton from Add/Remove Programs):
