e bay bid by mistake

ive just recently this hour been on e bay for first time..ive put bid on by mistake for pair of trainers....how can i stop this bid ? it has allready been confirmed that i was highest bidder...i didnt give my card details or anythig just addres an stuff.....i emailed the seller to say sorry it was mistake but i dont want banned from using ebay...its so complicated though......

You can retract the bid if you look at your options on Ebay

I've don that before. I emailed eBay and the seller and it was sorted without any fuss or problems. Try doing that and see what results you get.

if its got 12 hours plus left on the listing you can retracted you bid. go on to your my ebay page,click onto help button and you can type in what help you need and it will give you a step by step guide. plus you cant be banned from ebay from 1 mistake,just recieve bad feedback.dont worry

if there was more than one bidder there shouldn't be a problem, the seller will just offer the item to the next highest bidder. Email them and explain, they were new to ebay once too.

Go into the help file and there it will give to option to retract bid I did it for my son last week he bids on everything
