TISCALI - Loss of phone but broadband working well

Hi, Suddenly lost the use of phone yesterday but the internet is working fine. We are on broadband. Have tried other phones at the point of entry into house and still phone no use. Can anyone help please?

It's quite common for broadband to work over a line that has a fault preventing the telephony working.

If you've proved the fault to be external from the test socket behind the removeable faceplate on the master socket, then it's down to whoever you pay the line rental to.

The same thing happened to my line on Monday afternoon 9th March, Tiscali Broadband was fine, but no dial tone, I reported the fault to BT, and asked for the line to be tested, the phone was working again about 6 hours later. BT rang the next morning to check that the line was ok, and there have been no problems since, Very Odd!!
