We use a Netgear wireless router model number WNR834. We run 2 PC's that are wired via ethernet cables, a laptop that is wireless and a PS3 that is both wired and wireless.
We quite often have another couple of laptops hooked up wireless when the Kids come home. All this runs via Virgin Media cable connection.
Wireless reception is great across the whole house. (Which is quite large.)

I would agree that netgear is the way to go, have installed lots of wireless routers for people and it's always netgear that I've had best results from
Linksys WRT54G has worked great with my Virgin Cable Broadband for 4 years - great range, very stable, and good features.

I also have a LinkSys WRT54G that I use with Virgin Cable.

It cost me 30 a few weeks ago from PC World (it was on a special offer)
