leaving Aol

Has anyone one here been unfortunate enough to try to leave AOL ? After having requested a MAC key twice (speaking to Indian call centre) let down, told I hadn't requested it, then assured it would be emailed soon and it wasn't and finally to add insult to injury..... even after I received an email saying they were sorry I was leaving them, the following month they continued to take money out of my account for my monthly premium. Previously they had told me I didn't need to cancel it with the bank as my account was definitely closed and it wouldn't be taken. To date, five people in my office have also left AOL in the past two months - they haven't got their act together, or they are very crafty.

I got my MAC within 2 days when I left them a few months ago, never had any problems

Dollie,I left AOL about 6 months ago and I am pleased I did .It took me a while to get my Mac code,I was promised by the call centre in India that it would be with me within 24 hours and yes pigs do fly???.
I had to ring up the operator of AOL in GB and demanded that they sent my Mac code to me ,as you can't get another ISP without it.Be forceful Dollie and Good Luck!!!

Dolie,sorry I didn't read your full email,and yes they did the same to me with the money as well with an extra payment as well.And yes they are crafty,Good Luck again.
