where is a good site to do this? i dont necessarily want to download anything, just to listen for free on the computer.

Most radio stations have a site you can stream

You can listen to all the BBC radio stations "live" here

You can also listen to hundreds of previous shows by selecting "Listen by Genre" in the top right.

thanks for responses, i meant more like i could choose what to listen to, for example listen to the new album by whoever, so i can decide if to buy it or not?
mandimoo, problem with that is if there was a site you could just listen to a whole album for free people would just record it and nobody would buy it.

There are several illegal ways you can download the music to listen to it, but you have to be very careful using these as you may well be downloading a nasty virus and not a music track.

I have found that Amazon often offer the chance to listen to short sections of tracks from an album.

Here, for example, you can listen to sections of each track on the previous Coldplay album (not the latest one).

Just scroll down to where it says "Listen to Samples"
