Has anyone tried pay as you go broadband.

My daughter's wondering how it works as she's planning to move out ( she won't ). I said I'd ask anyway??

My mom had it for a while and found it very expensive, it was cheaper to just have monthly broadband. she said initially that she didnt use the internet that much but obviously used it more than she thought.
You can buy a mobile broadband dongle from 3 for around �50.

You then access the internet by pay as you go. You have to make sure the area has coverage - you can find out on site.

Not as good as true broadband, better than dial up.

The reason I don't care if it's expensive is it'll limit the amount of bitching on MSN.
Vodafone also do one for around �15 a month on top of your dongle price - about �40 if I remember correctly
