Why is Google Earth so out of date? The pic of my house is 8 years old! What is the point of it if it's so out of date? Will i have to pay to get a proper version? Is it any good? Does anyone out there have any advice? Chris
You can pay for a newer version i think, but it will never be 'live'.
Otherwise you would get perverts, etc, watching beaches and schools.
And you might get someone watching me as i have a skylight in one of my bedrooms...
I showed Google Earth to a friend earlier this year and when we zoomed in on his house you could see his mother hanging washing on the line, whilst a few miles east he is actually to be seen mowing a lawn with a newly purchased red lawnmower, the clarity was sooo good!
We narrowed the date/time to 3.30pm on the 1st or 2nd Wednesday of September 07. Ironically his mother died in the October but is immortalised by Google Earth.
It all depends where you live, I live a few miles from Belfast too and can tell from the state of the garden that my house was photographed in the past couple of years as well!
