what is the best company to use where you can choose your own domain name and they will host your website?

There are many domain name resellers and it is usually easiest to buy a hosting package from the same company you get your domain from, and they usually register you with Nominet as part of the service.
The main choice you need to make is whether to deal with a company based in Britain or abroad - if you choose UK you get the advantage of time zone being same for helpdesk queries. but if using phone helpdesks be prepared for a lot of waiting.
I would avoid buying from companies that specialise in selling 'cherished' domain names because you need to know what you are asking for to get them retagged or to change DNS numbers.
No idea about iweb, sorry.
