deleating history

hi can anyone help my friend to delete his history hes done it using the tools as ive told him but web pages are still appearing in the serch box any ideas??

That depends which search box you mean. If you mean the Google toolbar search box, click on the little downward-pointing blue arrow to the right of it and click "clear history".

you can also clear the search history in "delete form data"
which is in tools-delete browsing history
