Hyperlinks in Hotmail

I've just found out after God knows how long that links I send in emails aren't appearing as hyperlinks . I tried 'insert hyperlink' under the message subject but nothing at all appears . I know they can copy & paste but ...
What am I doing wrong ? I'm baffled

are you putting http:// in front of the www

Thanks but yes to both . In Hotmail when I click on Insert link it opens a box which has http:// I add www.... click Insert & it just disappears

ok after a quick trip to my hotmail account:)

You have to type some text highlight it then click insert link and type the address into the box, then it turns the text you highlighted into a hyperlink
