google search page problem

If i'm browsing and i click on a link in a web page why am i being directed to the site for 2 seconds then the address in the address bar changes and up comes a google search page ? - this is infuriating at the minute and happens in 90% of pages - have even un-installed the google toolbar to no avail; - anyone got a clue ? has only started happening today .
