Internet explorer
Evening all,
My service provider is Talktalk and for some reason internet explorer no longer works. It was ok yesterday morning, then Talktalk had a power surge and knocked the internet out. According to Talktalk support desk this did not cause the problem. The problem is my pc!!!
Can anyone tell me how I can get Internet Explorer back? I'm currently using Mozilla Firefox to get onto the internet but would prefer Exploer.
Any help would be apprciated.
Many thanks

Select the option to restore your computer to a previous date. Choose the last available date prior to the problem occurring.
(Taking your registry back to an earlier date doesn't destroy any files. Files you've created or saved, and any emails you've received, since the restore date won't disappear. However, if you've installed any new software since the restore date, you'll need to reinstall it).

I'd try restoring IE back to defaults before doing a system restore (actually I'd try a lot of things before doing a restore, IMHO a system restore is a last resort, not the first thing to try for every little problem/glitch that crops up)
In IE click on tools then internet options, then click on the advanced tab, towards the bottom there is a button that says restore, click that to restore all IE options and settings back to default.
