With all the security scares regarding IE and Firefox I was thinking about downloading Opera,Anybody out there using it and is it any good? are there any downsides to it?

Yes I'm using Opera a lot now. It's very handy being able to set up 9 websites that you use regularly and just click and go there. For instance I have AB set up for Computers, Internet and Quizzes and puzzles on 3 seperate speed-dials, and so on. Haven't come across any downside yet.

I swapped from Firefox because its always crashing on me recently, and Opera never does.
Try it and see. Its free so what can you lose?

I tried Opera and then deleted it, it downloads the spyware doubleclick, very nasty!
doubleclick is only a tracking cookie... it's not really spyware.

It will be downloaded by any browser if you have cookies enabled when you go to a site that installs it.
