IE7 & Firefox password memory
(This might also be of interest to Times crossword clubbers) Once you have told IE not to remember your password, how do you untell it? Does it offer the option to remember a pw only the first time round? I didn't notice any option not to remember it just that once. I usu use Firefox, but in important ways the new Times crossword club prog works much better in IE. Will give details if anyone interested.

I've just typed out an answer and posted it, but it seems to have disappeared. I'll try again:
(These instructions are for Firefox 2, but version 3 will probably be similar).
Go to Tools > Options.
Click the 'Security' tab.
Alongside 'Remember passwords for site', click on 'Exceptions'.
Click on the relevant site.
Click 'Remove', 'Close' and 'OK'

I've posted this answer twice but both posts have failed to appear. Let's try again!

Many thanks for that, Chris. (It seems that's what you would like to be called.) Needless to say, once again Firefox is so much better than bloody IE in practically every respect that it's beyond comparison. I hope I remember your instructions when I need a password remembered or unremembered.
But IE is so-o bloody ridiculous. Not only nothing like that, but nothing at all. There under Security Custom level I did find I hadn't checked 'Automatic login with current username and pw'. But neither that nor deleting all passwords under General, which I didn't want to do, checking and unchecking various Autocompletes under Content AutoComplete settings, re-opening IE every time, will make it remember or ask to remember the password once told not to. I have combed the help files till my BP is about to go asymptotic.
Any other ideas?
