Is anybody here using Tiscali broadband?

I am considering signing up to their phone and net deal, as it looks like good VFM, I am just wondering if anyone has experience of their service, technical support etc?

Yep. the actual service its self is fine but their technical support is rubbish (and foreign)

That said though you will find that is the case with many ISP's. The service is pretty good value for money and with luck you will never have to contact the technical support so it won't become an issue.

we used to have it when it was homechoice but found it didnt really do the job that well never that happy with their Tech support as such but now Tiscali have taken over so it may be a lot better.

I wouldnt touch them with a bargepole. My Grandad got Tiscali phone and b/band about 18 months ago. Broadband seems okay, a bit slow but can cope with this. However, come to the phone, the line is terrible, Tiscali say they don't own the line so they can't repair it, BT says the line is Tiscali's property so they can't touch it! He got promised cheap calls but the line is that bad, he had to use his mobile to make any calls. Messages left on the answering machine, you couldn't make out. Try googling Tiscali take it from there. Personally I wouldn't.

I've been with Tiscali for years and am very happy with them. Saying that, I have never had any problems so have had no need to phone technical support or customer services.

Thanks for those replies all. Fadeout, was your Grandads' phone perfectly OK before? I find it a bit odd that changing providers should produce that result, after all its the same line and he was using before, its just that he now pays somone different to use it.

i have been with tiscali for 2 years and had no problems,i know last week on the news they were saying how different the speeds of various broadbands were in different parts of the country,so that is why you have a few negative feed backs on tiscali.

We've had Tiscali for about four years now, no problems at all, we recently upgraded to the package which includes line rental, saving about �11 a month, very happy with it!
