The Hub comes with a broadband cable (grey ends). Can I get a longer one?

Sure, Try to inform your service provider that you want to extend your broadband cable.

But the cable used in broadband is called CAT5. you can purchase from Market..

the cable that you are talking about is not a CAT5 cable, CAT5 has RJ45 connectors on it, you need a RJ11 to RJ11 cable

oh and no need to inform BT, what you do with your cables in your house is of no concern to them at all.

Henry, the lead that goes from the hub to the wall is not cat5e (or cat5)

as I said, cat5 (and cat5e) is terminated with RJ45 connectors, the lead that goes to the ADSL filter from the hub has RJ11 connectors on it!
