Every time I click on to a website like AB for example I get this message almost every time.I am really getting pi$$ed off by it.Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening? Please help someone,I will be very grateful for any help at all.The message I keep getting is....

Insecure Internet activity. Threat of virus attack
Due to insecure Internet browsing your PC can easily get infected with viruses, worms and trojans without your knowledge, and that can lead to system slowdown, freezes and crashes.
Also insecure Internet activity can result in revealing your personal information.
To get full advanced real-time protection for PC and Internet activity, register Antivirus 2008.
We recommend you to protect your PC now and continue safe Internet browsing.
Click here to get full advanced real-time protection and continue browsing.
Continue to this website unprotected (not recommended). >>> I guess using this option is unwise yes

Hi Imhotep:

It's absolutely nothing to do with Firefox.

Antvirus 2008 is malware. You might be able to get rid of it by running whichever anti-spyware program you've already got on your PC, such as Adaware or Spybot. If not, the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware should do the job for you. See here:

Many, many thanks Chris.I still have the problem, mainly because I have yet to perform a full scan using the Spyware Doc program link that you have given me.
So, I will let you know how I get on after I perform a Full Scan procedure.I got my fingers crossed.I was going to do it tonight but I haven't got the time as it may take quite a while to do.
So,I'll give it a go tomorrow evening. So if you're on AB tomorrow I will let you know how I got on.
So many, many thanks once more, and thanks to Legyshetro as well for his/her advice.

yikes that sounds nasty imhotep!
dont ever register Antivirus 2008!!! my sister did it thinking it was a genuine thing and it mucked up her laptop, so i had to fix it for her :-P

nothing wrong with firefox btw, i love firefox much better than IE!!
And you dont need to keep swearing in your append.

We can understand you just as well without the smattering of swear words.
Most reviews are now putting IE8 above Firefox. Firefox has been racing its development to catch up. Nice to see some real competition in browsers.

The Google browser (Chrome) doesn't rate terribly well at all.
