cookie / brower problem

i am using mozilla firefox as my browser. i go shopping through the nectar website so as to earn points. the problem i now have (been like this for 3 weeks, ok before), after logging in to the nectar website, clicking on to ebay or play.com to go shopping. another page opens i click go shopping, the page tries to ope but fails. only a blank page exists. the tab at the top of the page say 1(GIF image, 1x1 pixels).
i have contacted nectar and ebay, both have blamed each others websites. i have cleared out old cookies, cache, history. gone back to using an older version of mozilla. even tried using internet explorer as the browser; same result with everything i have tried. other websites ok.
am totally stuck, anyone with help, ideas, etc really appreciated.
