Help my internet is not working properly and I keep getting messsges.

I have a 3 dongle and it is usually great for getting on the internet but for the last three days I have had trouble viewing my AOL and Yahoo mail, I get to the sign in page OK but when I sign in I get the message THE CONNECTION SERVER WAS RESET, then yesterday I was able to view my email OK now today I get the message INTERNET EXPLORER CANNOT DISPLAY THE WEB PAGE after I sign in.
I usually use Firefox but now that will not load and I have had to use Internet Explorer tonight to get onto Answerbank.
Also when I get online it is sometimes freezes and is a bit slow.
Can someone tell me what is wrong and how I can fix this.
I have Anti Virus software but it has not found anything.
