i've just joined lovefilm and when i 1st fire up my computer I can access the website but with no images but when i click on a link it says "Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect to www.lovefilm.com" any one know why this is happening. I have full access to every other site I want to view so can't fathom it out.

Perhaps your internet security thinks it is a suspicious website.

Perhaps there might be some way to tell it to allow access to this website.

hi panic, I have disabled my firewall and avg is my anti virus, mozilla, opera and chrome suffer with the same problem maybe its the site

No, there's no problem with the Lovefilm site at the moment.

thanks for your help panic but i think i may have solved it by running the compatability mode in explorer seems to be downloading now ok. thanks again

Lovefilm.com needs an unusual setting in your router to be accessable. The default settings may well not allow you to connect. If you can start to see lovefilm.com, then your browser "hangs", then can not connect, the solution may be as follows. In the DoS settings in your router, set "Max incomplete TCP/UDP seesions number from same host" to at least "30". Some routers default to "10" for this setting. Lovefilm seem to have poor website development standards.
