On what operating system?
''Can I install them alongside my existing browser?''

Yes you can. I run Safari as well as Firefox but predominantly use Firefox. I find no difference in load speed or stability between the two.
^ On Macs running OSX Tiger and Leopard...
assuming windows, then try them and see what you think because, yes you can install as many browsers as you want.
well thats all seems to be covered, my work here is done.

Thanks guys. I am on windows XP and currently using IE mostly. Sometimes firefox. I find firefox tends to jump alot if you know what I mean. Anyone know the reason why?
I haven't tried any of the later versions of Safari for Windows but my impression a couple of years ago was that it was the worst browser I had ever used. It was hopeless at rendering fonts and everything appeared to be in bold.
If you are using Windows then the best for you is Internet Explorer 8 which is the best one around and soon you will see version 9 of it .
For Windows, IE and Firefox are good choices. Seldom use Safari. For Opera, don't like it. Personal opinions only.
